HeiQ offers different DWR performance test methods, mostly performing the widespread spray test (AATCC 22).

Q-SKIN^®

Q-SKIN® is a polyamide 6.6 fibre in which silver ions are inserted directly during the spinning process enabling the fiber to limit bacterial growth and prevent body odor. Q-SKIN® takes care of the skin, providing its wearer with breathability, freshness, hygiene and comfort.

HOW IT WORKS

During normal daily routine or sports activities, our body produces sweat; Q-SKIN® technology kicks in when the sweat molecules come into contact with the fibre: the silver ions inside help to reduce excess floral bacteria which is the main cause of unpleasant odours. 

  RESILIENCE​

Q-SKIN® fibre retains its basic properties over time even after repeated washing.

Proven bacteriostatic effectiveness as certified by the MIS PLUS Institute of Zürich according to DIN ISO 20743 standards: 10-2007.

Stands up to repeated washing as certified by the MIS PLUS Institute of Zürich according to JIS L 1902/02 standards.

 ODOR CONTROL

Ultra-Fresh KW-48

Ultra-Fresh KW-48 is an aqueous dispersion used in the treatment of textiles, to reduce the effects of microbial action such as odor generation, degradation or discoloration.

Ultra-Fresh KW-48 is based on the molecule zinc pyrithione. It is a broad spectrum, highly effective antimicrobial agent. Studies have shown that the active reacts with key proteins in a microbe’s outer membrane, blocking transfer of necessary nutrients into the cell.

Articles treated with Ultra-Fresh KW-48 promise freshness, stain protection and extended product life. Formulated to provide excellent durability, Ultra-Fresh treated products continue to offer performance after multiple cleanings or extended exposure to environmental stresses.
